Scientists have found the oldest DNA evidence yet of humans’ biological history. Honestly I love Remedy Games, Alan Wake and Quantum Break are in my top five, so it irks me that Remedy would once again stick their hand into a wasp's nest when the previous times only yielded a narrowing universe for their games. So it appears the same hominid who is most closely linked to the Original genes of Australia was wandering around the Spanish countryside some 400,000 years ago, well before any African Homo sapien could be claimed to have stepped in, on or outside African soil. Imagine post Control 2, a new Remedy game couldn't talk about Max Payne (Rockstar owns it), Quantum Break (Microsoft owns it) and potentially Control 2 (cause Sony would own it).įurthermore The entire Alan Wake/Control Saga would be in a console exclusivity nightmare, needing an Xbox/PC for Alan Wake to a PS for Control 2 (Unless Remedy allows Sony access to Alan Wake publishing), and don't even get me started on the terrible idea of selling exclusivity to Epic Games as a business/marketing strategy. By March 2012, Alan Wake had sold two million copies on Xbox 360. And obviously all of them are dear to us. Essentially because of deals such as this to other companies, Remedy can't reference or connect any of their games because they don't own any of them. We’re really, really proud of all the games we have made, Lake remarked. Now you may think “why this will just allow Remedy to create more games”, but if you think about the implications of Remedy games up to this point it becomes far less compelling. Literally, the article states, "it's - entirely possible that Sony may want to acquire the exclusive publishing rights so the company can release Control 2 as a PS5 exclusive." Honestly on the whole however this would be the worst thing I think for Remedy to do. As a whole it is currently just speculation, but it does hold merit, especially with the timed DLC on PS4. We awarded the original release a 9/10 review, saying it did "a great job of mixing elements of written work, television, and video games to create an experience full of scares, laughs, and thrills that's just as fun to play as it is to watch.Hi Y'all, I don't know if anyone have seen this, or its been posted on the sub, but I found it very interesting reading. Yes, it may be true that most of us, in our daily lives, think of consciousness as something over and above our physical being as if your mind were a chauffeur inside your own body, to quote. This remaster marks the first time the cult classic has ever been released on PlayStation. However, after folding Alan Wake into the world of Control, it seems Remedy has big plans for its own interconnected universe of games – and Alan Wake 2 feels very much like it could be a part of that.Īlan Wake originally arrived in 2010, and told the story of an author on the search of his missing wife, slowly discovering that a horror story he wrote is coming true around him. It's started work on the sequel before, but never been able to reach the finish line. ![]() It feels very likely that Alan Wake Remastered is the smaller project, leaving a full Alan Wake 2 more possible than ever.ĭespite troubles with the first game – it was designed as an open world game but had to be drastically altered due to production difficulties – Remedy has made no secret of wanting to return to Alan Wake's world. When Remedy partnered with Epic Games, the developer was said to be working on two games from the franchise – one was a "AAA multi-platform game", and the other a "smaller-scale project". The announcement of the remaster will undoubtedly see fans getting excited about a long-awaited sequel.
